Chavasse Farm is situated in the quiet village of Hardecourt aux Bois, in the heart of the Somme Battlefields. The Village is very small and has a population of less that a hundred, it sits on the southern slope of Hardecourt ridge with woods in the valley bottom. The Village is twice winner of the Somme region Village in flower competition a fact that the mayor is very proud of.
The Farm is within walking distance of some of the most infamous battlefield sites including, Trones, Bernafay, Faviere and Maricourt Woods, Maltz Horn Farm, Guillemont Road Cemetery to name but a few. Delville Wood Memorial and Cemetery are three minutes, Thiepval Memorial/Visitor Centre and the Ulster Tower are only a ten minute drive.
The Farm has its own unmanned bar the 'Rum Ration' its available for all guests to use, you have your own key and it works on a bring your own drink policy. Please see the link below for more infomation and pictures.
The Farms three cottages are set within gardens around a gravel hardstanding and garden roundabout. Each Cottage has its own parking area. Please see the link below for more information and pictures of the gardens.
The Farm Store is located in the main barn, you have own key. The store is where the mountain bikes are kept, it also holds a washing machine and tumble dryer. All the extra garden furniture and BBQ equipment is also in there. Please see the link below for more information and pictures.
